This weekend is not great for me but I'll try
You're talking about March and not February here, right? Just making sure. :)

Re: Standings Long Night of the Ring 2018

The first grid isn't set by qualifying results by the way, but by rank handicap or an estimation. For the GP, the new stalls are great. Getting a clear track could still be difficult, but at least it saves us 5 minutes of practice time. For the sprint races, putting the pits before the Lauda Kink mi...

Re: Standings Long Night of the Ring 2018

Took me two races to get back into the groove. Heavy cars with low torque (BRM, Honda) never have been my thing and somehow the FOV I used to use turned out too wide now. I had serious doubts over the chances of climbing the standings in time after losing so much ground. Race 4 (the re-run) was a lo...

Are checkpoints turned off?
It should be pretty rare that one has to serve a penalty in their stall, but...

Re: 2018

seems very hard to quantify accuratetly how much time gained that can be attributed to the transmission itself. If you still brake with the same foot as before and driving with just one hand on the wheel is just the same as with two hands, it could be quantifiable, since pretty much only one variab...

Re: 2018

I've done some testing, looked at graphs in GPLRA, compared my laptimes, read a few posts, etc. Not just now, but also over the years. My gut feeling says the laptimes among the different shifter software rank like this: 1:29.6 - GPLShift without clutch 1:30.0 - original (paddles / sequential) 1:30....

Re: Long Night of the Ring ....2018?! o0 ;)

In the end, it's a matter of preference: whether we prioritise a compact schedule, safety, or competition. At any rate, it's not our decision to make. ^^ @ David: At some points during the event 2 or 3 people were wondering when the server was going to be started for next race. Would it be too much ...

Re: Long Night of the Ring ....2018?! o0 ;)

Funnily enough, 5 minutes of practice sounds very short when the track section that matters is 3 minutes away from the pits. If the car doesn't work in Fuchsröhre on the first attempt, there won't be another chance to test the setup. Having a spot on the grid unoccupied because someone didn't stay f...
