Re: Westwood - 29th of February - Round3

I had a much better night than I expected. Lead up to the race wasn't ideal as I'm having some building work done on my house so days have been spent surrounded by loads of mess and evenings vacuuming it all up ready for the following day's work. Qualy was some way off my PB so lined up 4th on the g...

Re: Porto58 - 8th of February - Round 2

Thanks Seb, That does help and alleviate my fears somewhat, I have a (Probably) unreasonable fear of losing my capability of running GPL once I'm dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century. I know my CPU is well able to handle GPL and W11. GPU also (GTX760). I'm sure a lot more than my curr...

Re: Porto58 - 8th of February - Round 2

Thanks for the generous offer André and your valuable advice about operating systems Tim. I've set up a search with email notification on Ebay for all things G27, so I'll see what appears. But I may still get back to you on the shifter. After Tim's comments about W10/11 I'm seriously considering a "...

Re: Porto58 - 8th of February - Round 2

I have to say watching the replay, that was some great racing between Tim, Dag and André. The trust you all displayed in each others abilities was a joy to behold. it was a shame it ended with Dag's freeze. I can only dream of such car control. :daumenrauf: I've stripped my shifter down (Again). I t...

Re: Porto58 - 8th of February - Round 2

I'm thoroughly fed up at the moment, After the gear change issues at Kyalami I thought I had fixed it but it seems no (I can't afford to replace my set up at the moment). Jumped in/out/in/out of 2nd with a few laps to go entering T1. Strayed onto the rails and got stuck in the hay bales. Prior to th...

Re: 2024 season

Is it worth asking Paul at fastlane to add HIES to the GPL "Online Leagues" section on the new srmz site?

(I was thinking of just a redirect to here).

Re: 2024 season

I've often wondered about removing the password and I would love to see more racers, even only occasional joiners. I figure if they have taken the time to download and understand the patch they are probably going to have a reasonably responsible attitude to racecraft etc. But I think the recent upda...

Re: Kyalami - 18th of January - Round 1

Disastrous on my side. During qualifying my shifter started to jump out of 2nd and 3rd. This got steadily worse during the race until it decided neutral was what was needed for T1 and I ran wide and hit the bank losing a wheel. Up until that point I was having a great time with some good battles wit...

Re: 2024 season

Thanks Andre, I notice Bathhurst appears after Brands in the list but the Bathhurst date is before the Brands date. Should the dates or the location be switched? Oh and while I think about it. The home page refers to Vroc but I think we are 100% Igor now? The home page also gives an IP of 178.232.16...

the brake pedal could also be used as activation in addition, as an alternative or instead.
I've never seen an oval on the HIES calendar, but using the brake to activate a mouse click might be an issue for ovals where braking is unnecessary.
