Re: Rouen - 21th of December - Round 18

I have not yet been able to drive on the server. My trackini works with the normal Rouen track. I can't say if it works with modified tracks. I think it is irresponsible to change tracks without also changing the track folder. I have to say: That kind of thing takes the fun out of gpl. It should be ...

Re: 2024 season

Yes, we can. You can repair 1x, 2x, 3x - how often you want without driving an extra lap . And additional you can change the tires if you want. By the way: A fast way to try out repair_var is offline in trainings mode, because then you can make ShiftR at every place on track. In case of ShiftR the s...

Re: 2024 season

I think tyre damage due to driving over high curbs etc would be a great addition to the patch. Damage due to extended periods off track I'm not so keen on. In reality tyre wear in 1967 was of quite low consideration in the grand scheme of things, tyres were even used for more than one race and I do...

Re: 2024 season

3. Yes, I would prefer a 3-week rhythm between races. That would be enough for an old man like me. 1./2. I don't think we necessarily need race commissioners. I think we're all sensible people who are self-critical anyway. 4. Something occurred to me. At the end of the EOLC times, we used a complet...

Re: Mendoza - 7th of December - Round 17

I made a stupid mistake in the first right-hander on lap 28 and my car was crooked. I looked at Pribluda and wondered whether I should drive through or repair it...and then I hit a crash barrier.
That meant not only seventh, but half points.

Too bad it was going well before...

Mendoza - 7th of December - Round 17

There are several errors in the mendoza track.ini, which means that the pitstallboard is definitely not displayed. That's why everyone should definitely use my track.ini this time: http://race.eolc.de/Olaf_Lehmann/trackiniMENDOZA.zip In addition, there are again nonsensically irritating spectators ...

Re: Tripoli - 23th of November - Round 16

I had two engine failures in pre-practice, both at full throttle (not when changing gear or over-revving the engine). So I should have been warned. I remember at some point coming across a passage in the gpl code that clearly stated that an additional engine damage sequence is run from 105°C, which ...

Re: Tripoli - 23th of November - Round 16

Yesterday we all was losers...but I was the first of them. HORREY! ;) The problem at Tripoli are the high engine temperatures. I setted my gear ratio af the last gear longer (max speed without slipstream at 10000rpm instaead of 10500rpm) but the engine temps was about 105°C/106°C most time. I knew t...
