Re: Registration 55 mod race at Targa Florio
Hi everyone,
The Fun Event at Targa Florio (55 mod) is scheduled on 8 October 2017.
When GPL was released we went 31 years back in time.
On 8 October 2017 we'll go 62 years back in time.
That's Grand Prix Legends

cool Claudio. I watch 2 seconds and I can recognize where I am >>> not much has changed! oO still a lovely nature-track!! :D_
with splendid weather... yumm... makes me want to go there too.
but there is still a better laptime for you in it, I think..
yellow "flags" at 1m15.11
**********
I had a 55s race yesterday and I felt like Sir Jacky Stewart: First race - and it's in Monaco! Part I
With zero practice and I haven't driven since May (aside the few hundred meters from our Targa try) Part II
But I was doing a-okay compared to some of the known strong drivers so that gives me a little bit of hope.
Eventually I got engine-sludge in spite of trying to be very gentle on the machine (machina)... but limped all the way to the finish.
What I noticed and where we have to be very careful:
I noticed that people had very big difference on the braking (I think the cars have quite different braking abilities too). VERY DIFFICULT NOT TO SLAM INTO THE BACK of another car!
And that despite of brakes being green! So my advice: be very careful when behind others! If you are entering a turn behind another car WITH YELLOW BRAKES -->> extreme caution!
that's my hint for the Targa event.
see you on track!

Yes Ginetto! Like Pedro said, it's an honorginetto wrote:Can I join too on october 8th?
Thank you for creating Targa Florio for GPL. This track really is a piece of art.
We will let you know the password of raceserver EOLC2 in chatroom EOLC of VROC. I'll join the chat at about 19:30h CET.
Best regards,
David
Re: Registration 55 mod race at Targa Florio
Thank you!
Ops, never used VROC.
Do I have to set up something regarding the exes?
Hope to be there on Sunday;
I'm having some issues with electric power at the house these days.
EDIT: the guy came this morning and I hope fixed the issue.

Hi Ginetto, ginetto wrote: Ops, never used VROC.

We drive 60fps so your gplc55.exe has to be set to 60fps.
I use Gem+2 to set the xxx.exe and start Vroc through Gem+2.
Make sure U have the Targa track in your:
Season67.ini
05season.ini
and
55season.ini
otherwise the server would stay red
Good to read that the cable-guy fixed the electruckety problem
........
And now back to practise ...............cu tomorrow!
Greetings Pedro.

Cr@p
I thought race was at 8.30 but when I got to the PC after dinner was all red.
Also Paul Skingley was waiting with me for a reset or something of the server.
I tried several things and the last one was to check Pedro's post which stated race was at 8.00
Very sad... sorry guys.

Sorry to hear you and Paul were ready to race.
I did wave at you Ginetto on the U-turn at Campofelice, but you didn't wace back
Better luck next time.
(Thanks for you beautifull track!)
