I didn't have much hopes for this race, so went in with an open mind without any expectations. Was in pain, tensed up and quite broken. Still I knew with this GP, everyone would be more sensible, aiming for a finish at Pro damage. ;)

In quali put in a safe lap, good enough for the front row. Start was OK, but Kelvin blasted by in the Lotus. I didn't mind that too much, expecting him to have more pace anyway. Then I started to relax more and the pain went away (adrenaline?). It looked like Carsten was pacing himself in the lead, as both Kelvin and I stayed relatively close first laps. At points I could close up to Kelvin, but he always outaccelerated me in the mighty Lotus, so a clean pass would never happen in my mind.

Then at some point I had a 360 spin at Adenauer Forst, was very lucky not to hit anything. Lost about 5-6s. That was just what I did need, from then on I started to drive better, and put in a fast lap, gaining a lot on Kelvin, and Carsten, who was about 12s up the road. Closed up with Kelvin again, and he started to struggle a bit, it looked like. Sadly for Kelvin he made a mistake, allowing me to go by. I did need him to make that mistake, otherwise I don't think I could have gone by...Kelvin admitted I pushed him into a mistake, yet I tried not to intimidate or press too much. I would never forgive myself taking him out on this event. I know how passionate Kelvin is, and he's an example and rolemodel for myself, with his racing spirit and mentality.

My last 6 laps were all sub8, but still with a lot of little mistakes, and some offs. It's sometimes hard to find that fine balance of pushing hard, but not making mistakes. Carsten had about the same pace, so the gap stayed also around 6s in the end. In my last lap was on a 7m55 ish lap but had an off and almost wrecked on two occasions. Was very lucky there, could have thrown away a finish there, and probably would have been very angry with myself taking so much risks.

In the end I was very happy and grateful for a P2 finish, not too far off Carsten, and with fast lap :)

Once again Carsten showed what it takes to be a Ringmeister, many congrats! :champagner: :king:
You are the complete package, without any weak points. Fast, consistent and clean. Unflappable, incredible mind power. Thank you for setting the example. This only motivates me more, and strengthens my will to improve more on each and every aspect of GPL online racing.

Also congrats to Kelvin for a fine podium finish. As I said before I do also learn a lot from you (as I try to learn from everyone). You did deserve a bit of good luck after your mistake. I was very happy to see you could continue!

Then Lasse in the Honda, the most unreliable car. To finish a GP in a Honda is an achievement in itself, and I admire your ability to race close and safe, with true grit. Your incredible car control and never saying die attitude. Again, I also learn a lot from you! :daumenrauf:

Jörg was the last of finishers, struggling with hardware problems all through the night. But sticking with it, and never giving up. Apart from that you are a gentleman on the track, and supersolid. Another rolemodel and example. :)

Claudio came up 3 laps short to finish the race. Heartbreak for you and all the other DNFs. Commisserations, but thanks all for racing! :daumenrauf:

Finally a major thank you to David for the excellent organization and dedication. As said before, without guys like you the GPL community is nothing. Great job! :prost:

All he says :king:

Congratulations to the podium and all finishers!
Incredible driving skills you all have :pokal:

My race lasted only 6 laps.
Breaked a bit to late and was not concentrated enough to avoid a fence.
Lost a wheel and that's that.

Thanks a lot David :daumenrauf: :prost:
I have great respect for you.
Driving, hosting organising and dealing with unwilling windows 10 and forum. :hail:

And thank you all very much for participation in this fine tradition made by EOLC.

Looking forward to next year, hope to meet you again.
Greetings Pedro.
