On Saturday 17 December 2016, we meet at 19.00 h in the EOLC chatroom of VROC. The name of the race server is EOLC1. We'll race at Nürburgring. At about 19:05, a 15 minute long warm-up session will begin, with race 1 following immediately.
All in all, there are seven regular races, each 3 laps long. That gives you the chance to drive all GPL chassis during the Long Night of the Ring! Shift R everywhere allowed without penalty!
The starting order in each grid is determined by our gridtool. Fast drivers start from the back, slower ones start up at front: For race 1, (an estimation of) your GPLRank handicap is considered. For the other races, your (current) position in the standings of the Night of the Ring will decide the matter.
The results of the seven races are used to calculate a ranking. The points for position at finish are 20 - 17 - 15 - 14 - 13 - ...- 2 - 2 - 1 - 1
There are no extra chassis points, but best result you achieve with each chassis gives double points. I.e. if you drive every chassis, all you results are doubled!
The winner earns the EOLC-approved title "Master of the Ring 2016".
If, after the seven regular races have been completed, there are still pilots willing to drive a few laps, a full-length PRO-GP will be started, concluding the Long Night of the Ring.
Everyone who wants to take part may sign up in this thread. You can also write to eolc@openmail.cc to sign up. It would be a help if you mention your GPLRank handicap. This will make it easier for me to make grid.txt, a file we need for the reversed grid. Drivers who are not in grid.txt will be automatically put at the back of the field by the gridtool.
