Well, that was a it of a disaster. Crashed early on, bailed to the pits for repairs, got the "jump" at my pitboard, selected repair and after a short wait GPL disconnected me.

Curious.
Towards the beginning of the quali, I had extreme frame drops again. I left the server. I didn't see anything unusual in the Task Manager. 8% CPU utilization. All good.
The rest of the quali was better.
At the beginning of the race I had a short frame drop. After that everything ran fine for 20 minutes, but I was expecting it to start again at any moment. During this time I made a lot of mistakes, missed the braking point in turn 1, etc.
In the last 40 minutes there were massive frame drops again, about every 5 minutes for about 5 to 10 seconds. It was a horror. But I didn't make any major mistakes during this time. Curious.

@John: So, I made a lot of repair stops in the last few races. My crew always did a flawless job.
I can take a look at your stop tomorrow and see if I can spot anything suspicious.

@olaf. I'm grateful for anything you can find when you get chance. GPL has been throwing me some curve balls recently. During a recent oAo race at Mosport my screen decided to hibernate half way through T3 with the obvious result.

To be clear, I wasn't disconnected in the normal sense. GPL just shut down after a period of time dumped me to Igor and displayed a window saying "GPL has closed down". (Or something similar).

I always test the repair feature as part of my practice sessions and had not had any problems at Blandford until tonight.

Congratulations to Andre for another dominant drive and also to Olaf and Rainer for the remaining steps on the podium.

Qual
A good qualifying session with a solid PB.

Race
After a really poor start I found myself P4 going in to the first corner.

Moved quickly up to third as Tim went wide in turn 1.

After just a few corners I picked up an issue with my steering wheel. It would not always shift up.

As I made a mistake in Anson Corner Tim got passed me again.

Then as first John made a mistake in Hood Corner on lap 3, Tim spun out on the exit of Anson Corner on lap 7, and Bjørn made a mistake in Hood Corner on lap 9, I started to settle in on a more comfortable pace.

On lap 24 it almost ended in disaster as I made a mistake on the exit of Valley Bend and spun off. Lucky not to hit anything.

From there on in it was all about bringing it home. With a few push laps in between.

@John: In the server replay you can see two jerks in succession shortly after stopping. However, it doesn't look like the real bumps, but more like typical server replays. I also suspect this because you can see two almost identical jerks and it is impossible for dgp to trigger two bumps in succession.
I'm not 100% sure you was in wrong place, but it's probable.

A real cool track for racing! But I had a bad day, lost it 2 times and early. When the new track that I´m building since 4 month will be done, I will be back in old strength

Great track, good driving and a dream to compete with in nice flow combination. A bit of trouble for André at the start created an advantage for the right row and then there was tension, but the order stabilised. Suddenly for me I was in second place and set a best lap time for a period of the race. Managed to keep up until I spun in Hood Corner.

Just before I was to prepare for the pit stop, the rear wheels slipped again in the same turn. Now the tires had become more slippery. Had control of the car to a certain extent, but in Valley Bend it understeered erratically so I cut off the right rear wheel in a barrier. In any case, all the laps were fun and had a nice driving feeling.

Congratulations to André on a superior victory but also to Olaf and Rainer

Just to go back to the issues I had trying to repair the car...

I've run some further tests and there definitely does seem to be an issue. (Which may or may not be related to my install). I purposely recreated the incident. (Extensive damage including the loss of a front wheel). I returned to the pits and this time refueled while trying to repair. The refuel process kicked in (So I was in the right place). But as before, after a short time I was disconnected and GPL crashed.

I had a similar crash while practicing at Kansas so took the opportunity to try again with the same result.

Damage which doesn't result in the loss of any wheels seems to work perfectly.

Thanks for testing and info, John. Bad news...
I remember as I made the last version I had produced lost wheels and following repairing too and it worked.
But I remeber also we had a test race some years beforecwith the partly repairing procedere and Roo had the same problem.
So there is really a problem. In case of loosing wheel(s) maybe the repairing doesn't work under all circumstances.
I think we have to live for the rest of the season with it: Hardly damages can't be repaired. Sorry.
