.. I simply ran out of fuel because of this. At the middle of race I checked the 27 laps indicated at pribluda and knew I wouldn´t reach them. I started saving fuel, nope, 1 lap missing at the end.

However, well done guys! What a great track it is!

Until Tim mentioned this I too didn't realise the race was actually 27 laps and not 25. So despite having decided my slower pace and more conservative braking distances etc would allow me to run with no stops in fact I would have run out of fuel with about half a lap to go as far as I can tell. (But as I made a stupid mistake it's all hypothetical in my case).

Congratulations to Andre for the win also Tim and Bjørn for the remaining spots on the podium.

Qual
A bit messy but an ok qualifying session snatching pole position.

Race
Had an ok start and hold on to P1 in to turn 1.

Managed to pull away the first couple of laps, but quickly realised that I needed to manage my tires a bit better.

Tim gained on me quickly and passed me down Moraine Sweep.

Tried to follow for a few laps but Tim slightly pulled away. And then I made a mistake in to T14 and went off.

The gap increased to 10 seconds. Then with 10 laps to go I started to close the gap to Tim.

With 1 lap to go I was within 2 seconds behind. Then Tim slowed down on Moraine Sweep, and I understood that he had some issues and figured that he might have run out of fuel. Sorry for the mix up with the number of laps.

Congratulations to Tim and Bjørn for joining me on the podium.

See you all at Donnybrooke.

To be honest,

I´m getting quite surprized how we go on here. :kratz:
I also wonder that nobody else than John and me was struggling with fuel in a 25laps pronounced race that took 2 additional laps? - I expected more people wondering.

Sorry, but no. I demand the victory, nobody would have catched me this time at Elkhard Lake! ;)

When I join the server, I always look at the page on which the track layout can be seen. It shows the number of laps.
That's why I'm always on the safe side.

@André: The link to the replay does not work and the ranking list is only partially up to date. I.e. Tims yesterday score is missing and since some races seb is in ranking before Dag.

Again really sorry for this. I try my best being the administrator for this leauge. It was a honest mistake.

If everyone agrees we can go back to lap 25 and score the race from there.

I'm off to Spain tomorrow so if we agree on that, I will not be able to update the score on our website before I'm back in week 44.

Qualifying was good. With fuel for the whole race, I was prepared that it could be difficult to keep up from the start from position 2. Surprisingly, I was able to keep up with André and Tim for many laps, before they disappeared.

They was on same strategy and had a fight while I also had to save on the tires and hope that they would last to the finish line. It was a good race with a good feeling of accomplishment.

I filled up with fuel for 25 laps and without thinking that there were 27 laps to deal with before the finish. The last two laps I increased the pace a little because 90 percent of the race can secure some points. For me, I had enough fuel, it may have been luck that it lasted, but it is assumed that tire saving may have saved fuel as well.

At least it looks right to go back to lap 25 for the result of the race. Congratulations to Andrè and Tim. Very well done in the BRM team, and the order can be decided afterwards. :daumenrauf:

Thanks all for race and administration. See you all at Donnybrooke. :)
