I have come to the sad conclusion I should not be allowed anywhere near this track. :kratz:

I am truly awful around here. GPL, GTL, GTR2 it doesn't matter I'm equally bad with all of them.

I've not seen how many laps I will need to endure here? The Calendar shows "xx Laps". Do we have a number?

Thanks in advance

Thanks Olaf!

I did notice that my pitstall board was further up pitlane, then where I initially joined!? But when I pitted at the pitstall board, all went well. This was online.

Offline I start at the pitstall board.

Hello Robert,

Yes, it takes a few seconds until the correct position of the pitboard is transmitted. Therefore, it is possible that you will see the pitboard somewhere else after the first joining of the track - because your track.ini pitstall values do not match the one on the server. But this is irrelevant.
At latest when you have completed a lap, it will be in the right place and everything will be fine.

There should only be problems if you don't go on the track in qualifying. Even if you have left the server for some reason and rejoin, you have to go on the track again.
It's quite unlikely that you won't do that. For those who want to exclude this unlikely case, I am posting the track.ini from the server here:
http://race.eolc.de/Olaf_Lehmann/trackiniBRANDS.zip

Actually, however, it is intended that the client does not have to worry about the track.ini anymore. Except in the rare cases where the pitstall board is not displayed because the track builders have entered the wrong values for it (e.g. Spa67).

One more hint especially for John: I noticed that at the last race you had to join several times because you first had the wrong car and then changed your name again. It would be a good idea if this doesn't happen, as the track.ini is adjusted so that the distances between the pits are larger for most drivers. If there are a lot of empty slots, it doesn't work so well.

Yes, sorry. That shouldn't happen again. It was a combination of stupidity on my part and trying to resolve my changing setup issues due to not understanding how to save it correctly for subsequent use under the DG patch.

Well, not sure what happened... Had engine issues and limped back to the pits, I'm sure I stopped on my mark but no "Bounce". ?(

GPL Disconnected me from my pit box shortly afterwards.

I've practiced pit stops, repairs, tyre changes, refuel many times on the server leading up to this so I'm confused.

John, have you driven so far that the pit board has disappeared?
