Tripoli - 23th of November - Round 16
Track ini with wider grid and more distance between pitstalls:

On this route, I would recommend these values to anyone who does not replace the track.ini:
lane_bounds_dlong = 1.25 198.0 ; start/end dlong of the pit lane
lane_bounds_dlat = -12.10 -7.0 ; start/end dlat of the pit lane
Otherwise - if you have your pit far back - the pitboard will be displayed very late.

Whoever I took out on my inside, I'm really, really sorry. For both of us. I'm used to starting at the back and my starts are crap. Olaf had just gone by and I managed to miss your front but caught your rear. Very sorry.
Having watched the rest of the race, all 17:33 of it, I would call that a race of attrition.
I now need to watch the first lap to see what on earth happened.
Well done Tim and Olaf, that is the most gutting feeling I know. Nice podium Tago I really was looking forward to racing you.
Hopefully a little more normality next time. Onwards and upwards.

I was very cautious when starting. Tried to drive through, without any stop That paid off, could avoid the big crash in turn 1.
My goal clearly was finishing in front of André. As I could not come close to his practise laptimes, I decided to do a nonstopper and hoped for success...
The big crash was bad luck for 3 out of 6, plus tremendously turning the whole race and the race for championship into a boring direction. I really wanted to know who will do a pitstop or not and how this race develops. But, as I came out of T1 as 3rd and as 2nd out of T2 I found myself 200m behind Olaf. Nobody else running
20 laps, just no mistake, hmm..
Suddenly, in lap 5 or 6, 1000m behind Olaf, his ferrari-engine blew up, I greeted when passing 500m later my own engine blew up, couldn´t make it to the finishline ..
And this race will count?? - nobody did 75% of distance!
Guys, did some of you also try a nonstop strategy?

No problem, Seb. I got a good traction in this start and ended up in a situation I'm not trained in either. I didn't have an overview of the cars on your right and had pressure. I am sorry that I contributed to the cause of taking out you two drivers in this way in the start.
Hope everyone had fun on this track during training and qualifying, I certainly did. May like to have races again here at Tripoli.

So that’s why the race ended on lap 7.
If we go by the rules there will not be given any points for this race.
I would say that the incident in turn 1 was a racing incident with no one to blame.
For the strategy, I was also on a non stop strategy. As I saw it as my only opportunity to maybe gain some places in the race.

@Olaf: I think I could never reach you in this race, you were doing a solid job! Bad luck then, for both of us .. you had planned a pitstop?

Yesterday we all was losers...but I was the first of them. HORREY!
The problem at Tripoli are the high engine temperatures. I setted my gear ratio af the last gear longer (max speed without slipstream at 10000rpm instaead of 10500rpm) but the engine temps was about 105°C/106°C most time. I knew that temps 105°C and higher are dangerous.
I should change the gears earlear to avoid so high temps. But I haven't done it. So the engine blew was my fault.
I had filled in only 68 l fuel. I planed a pitstop after 12 laps or so.
So I think the probability to win the race if Tim and I had no engine blew was only 20% or so.

@Olaf: In lap 6 I was 10 sec behind you -> 3,5 x 10secs for the whole race makes more or less 30 secs you would gain. A pitstop all in all costs 30 secs ..
I think you did a great job, everything was possible.
I also tweaked my gear-ratios to not have engine-problems. I ran the whole race at 105-106°C - which is normally not a problem. I even did 2 full length testraces without pitting and there I tortured the engine all the time - but nothing happened to my engine. Then on friday in race I started hyper careful - I didn´t overturn the engine one time nor was one shifting maneuvre inexact - everything constant smooth .. So, where this engine-failure came from is a riddle to me..
