Hi Andre,
Thanks for doing that, and thank you for hosting our championship. I know the commitment is massive and I just want to say how much it is appreciated.
Same goes for Dag and Olaf!
Thanks guys.
I'd better get on and use it, hadn't I?
Cheers,
Seb.

Just an idea.

Shall we remove our race password? So if anyone wants to join they are at least not block by not knowing the password.

What do you all think about that?

I don't think that will bring more riders into the races.
You only meet old acquaintances in the PreQuali, with just one exception.

I've often wondered about removing the password and I would love to see more racers, even only occasional joiners. I figure if they have taken the time to download and understand the patch they are probably going to have a reasonably responsible attitude to racecraft etc. But I think the recent updates to the homepage gives anyone who wants to join us ample information regarding contacts and links to get the password etc, so while not against the idea I doubt it would have any meaningful effect.

I remember seeing many well known drivers appearing for a few races in the past and some who stayed for a lot longer who have since left (But still race in other series), I would be more interested in knowing why they stopped competing in HIES to see if there was any fundamental reason why they left.

..I would stay with pwd. Johns opinion seems plausible to me.
And about tyre degradation: ok, lets try 20% more.. we´ll see how it develops.

Is it worth asking Paul at fastlane to add HIES to the GPL "Online Leagues" section on the new srmz site?

(I was thinking of just a redirect to here).

For your information:
Paul wrote to me about six weeks ago asking if I would be interested in moving our forum to the new superforum, which will unite the forums of all racing leagues.
I had replied that there had been quite a bit of panic recently because SRMZ had died and a lot of different things were concentrated there. I pointed out to him that I was of the opinion that the same mistake would be made again with the new superforum.
So much for the back story...
Of course, it wouldn't be bad if we had a section under the heading Online Leagues with a link to our forum. And if there was a problem with the EOLC forum, we could continue to communicate there.

In any case, André should change the link on the F1HistorisEsports page to the alternative form to srmz.the-fastlane.co.uk so that people can find me if they want to sign up to our forum.

Did you want me to update the index page or the link to our forum?
