2024 Carchoice

Post by tim » 02 Jan 2024, 14:03

Hi guys!

I thought we could also start this thread for coordination and a well balanced championship..
So, please tell us your chassis-choice and we will get it done!

Right now the following choices were made (changes possible, of course!):

1 André Jahren - BRM
2 Tim Roedl - BRM
3 Bjorn L Finnestad - Ferrari
4 Seb Gore - Lotus
5 Rainer Alpen - Honda
6 Olaf Lehmann - Ferrari
7 Jose Luis "Tago" - Eagle
8 John Hammonds - Brabham
9 Dag Johnsen - Brabham
0 Will Tway - Ferrari

:Lotus :Eagle :Ferrari :Brabham :Cooper :Honda :Brm

I'm not sure yet....

It's of course very comfortable to take the Cooper, but it might be better if I go for the Honda or the BRM. I have never gotten the BRM to be very quick, so that will be a challenge.

It also depends on who will race with us this season. If Robert is joining us I would be miles away from his tempo in the BRM.

We are well match Tim, so it would make sense to go for the same car.

Hi All, Happy New Year etc..... :prost:
If there is nothing in the rules against it I would like to take the Brabham again. :Brabham I'm 95% certain I'll be running one in the oAo championship as a privateer. So any crossover of tracks between the 2 leagues would save me on set up time.

Thanks in advance

Happy New Year.

Nothing in the rules preventing you from choosing the Brabham :-)

Same thoughts here. I drove Honda many times and its fun. I have almost no experience in the BRM, but it could be interesting to try..
So, i´m in, whatever we decide :)

Hi guys,
I'm still rubbish and still learning how to set a car up so, do you mind if I use the Lotus again? I think I'm starting to figure it out and I'll be miles off the back if I start again.
Much appreciated,
Seb.

Thanks Tim for the chassis selection initiative. :daumenrauf: I think it would be good if we could have as many different cars as possible again this year.
Sure, Seb. Lotus is a good choice.
I am still wavering between Eagle and Ferrari. Let me put it this way: if nobody else chooses the Ferrari, I'll take it again.

..I´ll update first post for better overview..

Right now I´m thinking about even driving next season with stick-shifter :)))
..will do some testing and then decide between BRM and Honda. I drove the Honda quite a few seasons but BRM only two times, at Bathurst and nürburgring..

Maybe best solution would be BRM, then I could alter between pedal and stick shifting if the "stick-ambitions" starting to frustrate me. Could be fun!

Meet you in South Africa!
