RoadBlock Racing Circuit - 28-11-24 - Round 12

Post by snafu » 09 Nov 2024, 16:08

Hi Guys,
Downloaded this for a quick familiarization session.

I can't find any pit board at any of the pit stalls. Considering my initial laps indicate I will be making extensive use of the repair facility at this round I need to know if it's just me? :kratz:

Also I notice the "track.ini" says the track is 5990.28 miles in length. Not sure if this has any impact on anything but it's only 3.722 miles. (The 5990.28 value appears to be the length in meters)

Thanks in advance

Yes, the track.ini is very faulty. The pitstallboards cannot be displayed!
I think it should work with this track.ini:
http://race.eolc.de/Olaf_Lehmann/trackiniRRC.zip
Every driver has to replace it.
I have increased the distance between the pitstalls as usual. So please replace the track.ini on the server as well, André.

The track cameras don't really seem to be set properly either. But that's not my profession...

Hi Olaf,
It's still the same for me. ?(

I tried the 65 mod and I do see the pit board when using it. So I have (Just for now). Copied my track65.ini over my existing track.ini and everything works as it should. (Although I have no idea if any other parameters in the track65.ini might have a bad effect).

[EDIT] Also works online[/EDIT]

Oh, sorry I uploaded a wrong file. If you use the link in my last post now you should get the correct file.

The values in bold are decisive for displaying the Pitstallboard:
lane_bounds_dlong =5605.0 5974.0 ; start/end dlong of the pit lane
lane_bounds_dlat = 5.3 18.3
So all participants: Please either replace the track.ini with mine or change the three values in your track.ini!

What a fun circuit. Heavy wear. Heavy sweat. :daumenrauf:

Just upgraded the grafix and ai files. Wow. Nice updates.

Should be a good one. Hope I can join. Cheers.

What problems are you seeing with the track cameras? Have you installed any of the track updates?

My first impression was just bad.
1. lane_bounds values wrong, therefore no pitstallboard
After I have changed the pitstalls, I always start a race and test with the AI whether all pitstalls are in the right place.
During this test I saw:
2. first a white area and no cars (I have never had this on any area before)
3. all the cars rolled forward, so I could hardly see if the pitstalls were in the right place.

At this point, I had lost confidence in the track.

But...then I drove around for a lap to see if the pitstall board appeared after my change. During the lap I thought: "It could be fun to drive here..."
I also have to say that the white wall is probably created by the pitbox camera and not by a TV camera.

Well, it will work out, I hope. I haven't gotten around to installing the updates yet.

So, I'm confused again...
Do I have to install all updates or are they all integrated in the first update ( Rrc_Dbadd_PS_compilation.7z)?
The fileRRC_alt.textures.zip: alt is a german word and means old in English. So do I get the old graphics files back when I install this file?

Yes, I installed only the latest, released 31.01.2020, folder name: Rrc_Dbadd_PS_compilation

Everything is fine except AI, need this download too. Great track. “Alt” can sometimes mean alternative-files.
