My first few laps went well.
But then I barely grazed the hay bales in the Badberg curve. The car was barely drivable -> I had go to pit for repairs.
A few laps later, engine trouble -> ShiftR -> lost 3rd gear for the rest of the race -> another repair stop + tire change + refueling.
On lap 21, another huge mistake with another ShiftR. I finished the race with reduced engine power but still managed to stay ahead of Seb.

The Sachsenring just doesn’t forgive anything. You have to approach a track like this more calmly...like Roberto...

Yes, Sachsenring is unforgiving. It was probably not expected that the race itself would be as dramatic as this.
For me, early in the race, I made an unnecessary mistake and landed on the railway tracks.

I took shift+R, was in the pit twice and continued without third gear. I was last, but after a while I was in fourth. Crossed the finish line in second place which was incredible, but almost everyone had the same problem as me, it turned out.

Congratulations Roberto for a great first place and to Rainer on the podium! :daumenrauf:

The ride was demanding, but also very satisfying. To give points to the statistics it could have been 4.5, but with rounded values it will be 5/5 this time, so nice laps. This is perhaps one of the most interesting tracks found in the GPL with steep hills and uneven roads that are partly fast including a nice part through the city too. ;)

Thanks everyone for the race, see you at Oulton :)

One of the most, if not the most difficult, demanding and unforgiving track of the entire Circus. I was very lucky to finish the race after two spins out while running through the forest about mid race and after two pit stop close the end of the race, since my Brabham was going to be undrivable.

Congratulations to Bjorn and Rainer for the great race !

See you at Oulton then !
