Hi racers

If you like another season at EOLC, please post in this thread. Thanks to Stefan Pfeifer the forum is free. I want to mention that :daumenrauf:

I suggest two options for 2018, A and B.

A

- Two or three Fun Events in 2018
- Lange Ringnacht in 2018

B

- Challenge Cup in 2018
- Lange Ringnacht in 2018
- an extra volunteer to host 3 or 4 Challenge Cup races!

:Ferrari :Honda :Brabham

Which option do you like? You're also welcome suggest other options.

My other questions are:

How many drivers do we need for the Challenge Cup?
What should the Challenge Cup look like? (tracks, time, date, etc.)
Do you compete in another league (too)? Please let us know. Maybe some of us will join you there in 2018.

Best regards,
David

Weren't there ideas of merging with GPLRacer somewhere during the chat?
I suppose that ain't happening...?

I just mostly hope we can get more drivers to race here.
Personally I'd like to see some sort of long track championship, maybe?

Not sure I can host a race and my connection isn't great (very low upload speed)

Hi guys,

I prefer to drive the standard tracks of GPL or tracks in know by heart - not many more I guess.
Simply because I only drive once a month without any training.

Therefore I am voting for option B. Even though the amount of drivers is to low, not much competition on the track currently. Well i could go Brabbel or Rari to compete with Harry, Kelvin and Radek, but most likly I need to train then.

I joined a very few races in the Geli. I would join other leagues as well if they drive the common tracks and 60fps.

Hi
Like Carsten I would prefer to race on the standard tracks. We all know them and we are able do drive there without much training.

As the most know I drive in the GeLi too.

To host a race is it better to have to have a second computer or how do you practise it??

AND, David a big big thank you for all of your work !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for your responses, Rainer, Carsten, Yannick and Pedro, and all others.

It's possible to host a race if you have one computer available.

I use two computers (host pc and race pc) because it's easier for me. When I start the server on the host pc (with driver name "EOLC1"), the race pc still runs VROC. This allows me to chat in the EOLC chatroom during the quali, to help drivers who can't join or need the IP or something like that. Then I join the race. BTW, an old XP machine can host a race at Nürburgring without problems.

In the past we also discussed a merging with GeLi, and it didn't happen. I think because GeLi already has everything they need: drivers, admins, forum, etc. I guess this is true for GPLRacer and UKGPL as well.

For next year I like a Challenge Cup, and for 2019 an anniversary event, the celebration of 20 years EOLC :) Let's wait for what the others have to say. We don't have to decide in a hurry. :pfeif:

Hello men,

My apologies for missing most of the season. I got frustrated with my computers and then with my racing. I had to quit racing on the weekends for a while. I hope to resume some day.

I'd like to race another season with you all but I don't know when I'll start racing on the weekends again. You can be assured. If I'm not racing GPL, I sure won't be driving some other sim.

Congrats on your championship Kelvin! It's often been fun trying to keep up with you.

I intend to race the Lange Ringnacht again.

We have 7 sprint races of 3 laps each. The final race of this event is a GP over 15 laps :)
