Donnybrook71 - 7th November 2024 - Round12
Re: Donnybrook71 - 7th November 2024 - Round11
"Right of way
...
In short, the idea is that you should be clearly level with the car in front of you before where the turn begins in order to have the right to have the driver in front of you give you some space. Getting clearly abreast means that at least the nose of your car reaches, say, the position of the driver of the car in front - and this is the minimum. More will probably be needed in many circumstances."
We are fighting all the way down the straight ... at minute 14 29 I am already in parallel.
4 seconds later I'm still having won the position ... on the inside and at the level of your car that should have already started the maneuver to recognize the loss of right of way on the next curve.
"The driver in front always has the absolute right to use the line he chooses without any interference if no one gets in line with him before he starts to turn."
The driver in front it's me!

Guys,
If you want we can have an external party evaluate the incident and give his verdict.

I was surprised that the distance between us hadn't increased - even after your repair, André.
Now I know why. This is an opportunity to clarify how the variable repair works.
Before the repair, you had an engine damage value of 6. The variable repair divides the 6 by 4, so 6 / 4 = 1 (the remainder is not used).
So after the repair, you still had a very small amount of engine damage that slowed you down slightly. I can't say for sure how much the value 1 means. Because the value for maximum engine damage is 64 and the value for a fully functional engine is 0, I think the power could have been reduced by 1/64.
This makes the 6th place possible for me.

Here’s the verdict.
José gives space but not more than just and he is late in the entrance to the turn, seems like he is waiting out Seb who has nowhere to go.
Seb turns when he has to and just as much as he needs, but Josè is right on top of him and turns in a little too late.
Seb can't see him in the mirror so he could have back down a little, but chooses not to.
With that said, this lands mostly on José’s table.

Thanks Andre,
Very fine margins.
Jose, are you happy with that verdict?
Can we go racing again?
Cheers, Seb

Re: Donnybrook71 - 7th November 2024 - Round11
It was a slightly variable performance on my part, but mostly good.
PreQual: Got a setup that was balanced which made it a little easier.
Qual: Get off to a good start early.
Race: The start was not lucky; I messed it up by getting on the grass and fell far down. Had a sudden spin and came across, felt a car hit me a bit but had no idea who it was. Afterwards I noticed that Tago was behind me and was approaching. I had to check this on the replay after a weekend trip to see what happened in the race. Sorry Tago for causing this accident.
Another good fight and pushed Seb for a few laps. The Ferrari did not have enough power on the straights but was given an opportunity that was too overconfident in these fast corners (because it became a lot of blind spots for me to deal with).
I had planned no stops, and it worked very well. It shows that it is possible (but be careful with the throttle). Until the finish, the rest of the race was relatively easy on this track and ended with a lot of good things too.
Grats Rainer, John and William!
Thanks all for the race!
The next track looks to be something completely different, it can also be exciting, see you there.

Seb ... it's about getting to do something like what my friend Jorge does in the following video
It is a dance in which both contestants have to participate and to make it possible you have to leave spaces ...

Here everything happens very fast ... this is second 0.06 of the video
Matching in second 0.08
Driver 2 knows that he will have to leave space (second 0.09)
There is space given with fair play (second 0.10)
Great (second 0.11)
The rest of the video would not have happened without fair play
