Re: RESULT LANGE RINGNACHT GRAND PRIX 2016
Grats Pelle and survivors!!!
I really wished this year to be a survivor after some time but I was already sleepy by the time we started the race and so foresaw my fate... I tried but couldn't stay focused. *turning upside down*
I even saw in Pribluda that Claudo was out but I crashed even before reaching him... lol
Participating and trying is everything....
BIG thanks to David for the organization and the work!!! while we were joking around, he was constantly busy preparing....
I always get melancholic after the event...... time is flying yet 1 year can be long....

Re: RESULT LANGE RINGNACHT GRAND PRIX 2016
Big Thanks to you all, this was nothing less than...fantastic
This is scary, the first time I wrote about Anniversary update & all the problems...& has not run GPL from September 14
I got mail from EOLC: LANGE RINGNACHT GRAND PRIX 2016...a race I really wanted to participate, but what could I do, no G27 ???
One last panicky attempt, connect the G27 to the server, with exactly the same Windows 10 & updates on a similar SSD. Exactly the same GPL install (CD & GPL Install 1.07 beta).
I spent hours, even a week without luck on my race PC...after 2 minutes on the server, G27 works perfect.
YEAH, I'm back in GPL ...but on the wrong PC
This happened an hour before the start of EOLC...& yes, I won the last 15 Laps GP race
...wow I was rusty & simultaneously nervous at the same time, a comeback in a major online race...I would crash all on the track
It's hard to remember all situations from 7 race + GP...but here was everything. Close race, crash & not least, I had fun in every race.
Maybe race 5, here began my body to disintegrate, I had a sore back, my right arm was almost dead & it began to hurt. Today, I have never been more used.
GP: I was sure I would crash very quickly, but after my long break from GPL...I could not stop - regardless of pain - & since I discover: number 3...it could be fun to finish on the podium. Later, 2...GT was flying, no matter how much I pushed, GT drove too fast...but oops, GT disappeared from Pribluda, I see true or dream ???
Now only LO & I on track, but LO in McHonda & me in Eagle...a small chance to win & I did it, YEAH
Big Grats LO, you did I could not feel safe until the man with the checkered flag ...& big Grats GT, unfortunate & perhaps a little unfair, but you came to the podium...even you had to go home to pit
A special Thank you to David & behind the server. Hope to see you next year
Unfortunately, I have still not found a solution to my race PC with G27, so if others are experiencing the same problem...I have no idea
Merry Christmas

Re: RESULT LANGE RINGNACHT GRAND PRIX 2016
Congrats Pelle and Lasse! Excellent job guys. It's good to see Pelle make a nice return to GPL and I'm happy to see him maintain good discipline in such a long race. We should be happy that Lasse didn't take a faster car. I wasn't sure I had an advantage over Lasse in the Honda but I felt lucky later that he allowed me such an advantage.
That was fun until my late demise. I tailed Claudio for the first two laps. I tried to give him room most of the time. He wasn't slowing me much so I wasn't too concerned about following. I was a little worried it would allow Kelvin to get far enough ahead that I'd never be able to catch him. I was able to catch Kelvin later. Same as with Claudio, I wasn't too concerned following Kelvin. He wasn't slowing me down much either. I tailed him for a while only dropping back to let Carsten pass me quickly. Not long after I caught Kelvin again, his engine exploded. I didn't expect I'd get so lucky. I didn't think I could ever pass Kelvin as long as he didn't make a big mistake.
When Carsten moved into 3rd place, I thought my chances of winning were over. He closed the gap to me quickly, over 6 seconds per lap. He got even faster once he took the lead. He was running 8 seconds a lap faster than I was. Once Carsten was out, I had a good chance to take the win again.Unfortunately I was determined to run the 15 laps noticeably faster than I did last year. Once I passed Claudio, I felt I was in a good position to run a faster pace this year and I was doing it. I struggled on lap 10 and Pelle gained on me. I thought he still had a chance to catch me but when I increased my lead on lap 11 and 12, I knew he wouldn't catch me. I ran a little wide on lap 13. Not being on the correct line made me wait longer to brake. Unable to scrub off the excess speed, I hit the wall hard sheering off the right front wheel.
I shouldn't have got so greedy. I thought my pace was faster than last year but I wasn't sure. It was faster. I was also trying to break 8 minutes before the race ended. If this was real, I don't know if I could forgive myself for the lack of discipline. I should have been a little more careful. I drove as fast as I could the entire time I wasn't behind Claudio or Kelvin.
Thanks guys. I enjoyed this race. I think the GP is my favorite online race. It probably helps me, that I spent more than 2 years offline running full GPs, GTs, and Can Ams. That was my m.o. before I started racing online.
Thanks for all your work David. You've done a nice job with few problems. Any problems we've had, seem to be few and are easily overlooked.

Thanks for uploading the raceresults to GPL weekly.Bastian Grupp wrote:can you provide the file plz from the gp for GPL weekly. i will upload it.
This is a link to the replays of the Lange Ringnacht in one 7z-file: http://race.eolc.de/replays/583rplyA.7z.
Please use the right mouse button to save the file. Left clicking doesn't work at the moment for 7z-files (it may crash your browser).
