We are going to use Fabian's pit lane, if there are no serious objections :grin:

This pit lane is on the long straight.
We'll use it for the sprint races and the GP.
This means you can drive two timed laps in the GP qualify session.

Recommendation: hold the brake when entering the track
Recommendation 2: don't leave the pits is there's a fast car on the long straight behind you :Brabham :Ferrari :Cooper

Thanks Fabian :) I made one adjustment to give the cars more room: 12 meters per pit stall.

[ pit_lane_0 ]
lane_on_right = 0 ; 0 if lane on left, 1 if on right
lane_has_wall = 0 ; 0 if no pit wall, 1 if pit wall exists
lane_bounds_dlong = 20788.4 21060.1 ; start/end dlong of the pit lane
lane_bounds_dlat = 3.7 2.30 ; start/end dlat of the pit lane
pit_board = 11.0 1200.0 -100.0 100.0 ; dlat of board, dlong of board, dlong LOS start, dlong LOS end (last 2 not used)

stall_0 = 21000 3.30
stall_1 = 20988 3.30
stall_2 = 20976 3.30
stall_3 = 20964 3.30
stall_4 = 20952 3.30
stall_5 = 20940 3.30
stall_6 = 20928 3.30
stall_7 = 20916 3.30
stall_8 = 20904 3.30
stall_9 = 20892 3.30
stall_10 = 20880 3.30
stall_11 = 20868 3.30
stall_12 = 20856 3.30
stall_13 = 20844 3.30
stall_14 = 20832 3.30
stall_15 = 20820 3.30
stall_16 = 20808 3.30
stall_17 = 20796 3.30
stall_18 = 20784 3.30
stall_19 = 20772 3.30

Are checkpoints turned off?
It should be pretty rare that one has to serve a penalty in their stall, but...

Thanks Fabian, that was VERY SMART! ( :grin: ;) )

I was just imagine it now and.... it does require more discipline --> imagine one drives for roughly 8 minutes and then gets wrecked by someone leaving the pits! :daumenrunter: Don't be that guy. :grin: (I see, you want to start your lap with 30s before end of the session, so everybody else has to wait an extra 8 minutes.... ;) :grin: )
So...
- fast cars keep to the right (without hooking the fence or jumping into it after getting airborne ;) )
- cars leaving the pits keep to the middle (remember there might suddenly appear a car in its stall) - I suggest we keep below 80km/h (?) for safety reasons. Double check your mirrors and/or pribluda given gaps before you duck under the bridge [Antoniusbuche]
- cars entering their stall are absolutely responsible for not jumping in the way of a car in the middle lane!! (i.e. nobody should ever swerve to the right hand lane!)

please be smart. If there is havoc they will chase me out of town! ;)

Thanks David for improving the grid.
Thanks Carsten for reminding about switching off the check-points
it would be more difficult to find ones stall, I guess. I trust my fellow gentlemen drivers to not cut corners, anyway. :) Thirdly: sometimes one struggles & slides into a corner, just trying to not spin --> not 2 wheels on track in the process --> boom! you need to serve. :( And fourthly: It's classic to not being able to serve a pit-stop in due time [many only wonder why they are not being scored anymore.. hehe] .... or sometimes you couldn't serve it because your box was BEYOND the guy with the checkered flag. hihi....

Yes, they are turned off. I should have mentioned that in my previous post.

Everybody who leaves the pits within 7 minutes after the start of the qualifiying session, will be fine. If you want to enter the track later, please check for fast drivers on the long straight and enter the track after they passed the "pit lane" on the long straight.

Best regards,
David
